This manual is lined up for dealers and end users to carry out wheel maintenance. These maintenance works can only be done by experienced users. Warranty will expire if maintenance works are not done properly, in cause of doubt regarding your own skills, contact an authorized Ridley dealer.
Always follow the described steps in the described order, otherwise the function of the wheel cannot be guaranteed. Rotating parts, sealings, O-rings and threads must be cleaned after disassembling and greased before assembling to obtain proper functioning. Only use mild cleaners to prevent damaging the components. For external cleaning, use soap water or similar mild cleaners.

Please follow the prescribed standards to prevent accidents
- Only use original Forza spare parts.
- No modifications can be made to the wheels
- The wheels cannot be used if they are damaged or there are any signs of damage. If in any doubt, consult a Ridley dealer.
- Wheels can only be used for their intended use, if not the end user shall assume full responsibility.
- The wheels must be compatible with the bicycle and all the assembled components.
- Wrong maintenance or wheel assembly can lead to unpredictable errors.
Please make sure wheels and wheel components are assembled correctly.
- Check if the wheels are mounted correctly in your bike before each ride.
- Wear, rotation and spoke tension of the wheels must be checked in regular intervals.
- The wheels must be checked for damage before and after each bike ride. The freewheel in the rear wheel hub have to work perfectly, if not the wheels cannot be used.

Mounting the Shimano and Campagnolo Sprocket
All the Forza wheels are equipped with the patented M-body, it is possible to mount Shimano 11 speed, Sram 11 speed as well as Campagnolo 11- 12 speed cassettes with this body. A Campagnolo spacer, before assembling the sprocket, is required before assembling a Campagnolo sprocket on the freehub. Slide the Campagnolo spacer over the freehub prior to assembling the sprocket.
Make sure the sprocket teeths are placed correctly to ensure proper working of the Hyperglide system. The Shimano/Sram significant starting teeth has to be located at the groove were ‘SHIM place here’ is lasered on the hub shell. Analog for Campagnolo sprockets, make sure the Campagnolo significant starting teeth has to be located at the groove were ‘CAMPA place here’ is lasered on the hub shell. See the below pictures to clarify.

SRAM XD/R-driver body
All the Forza disc brake wheels can be upgraded to a SRAM XD/R-driver body for SRAM AXS 12 speed groupsets. The conversion to a SRAM XD/R-driver body only requires to replace the Forza M-body by the suitable Forza XD/R-driver body. The same end caps can be used, no additional parts are necessary.
XD/R-driver body shell greasing
Before assembling the Sram 12 speed sprocket, grease the hub shell thread with copper grease to increase the lifetime of your body and sprocket.
Replacing the M-body by the XD/R-driver body
Removing the end cap and sealing
- Mount the two M12 Allen keys on both sides in the end caps to unscrew.
- Turn both Allen keys to each other to loosen the end cap at the non-drive side.
- Remove the end cap at the non-drive side by unscrewing them by hand.
Dismounting the freehub body and spacer
- Remove the hub axle by pulling on the end cap at the drive side when tilting the wheel with the drive side to the ground.
- Together with the axle, the freehub and the freehub spacer can be removed from the wheel.
- Remove one by one the spacer, the freehub and the sealing from the axle.
Cleaning the parts
- Clean all parts of the hub with paper towel.
- Position the parts in the sequence as they came out the hub to remember the right sequence.
Remounting the hub axle
- Put the hub axle through the new XD/R driver body, starting from the outside of the freehub.
- Put the freehub spacer on the hub axle and press it against the new XD/R driver body.
- Mount the axle through the hub housing along the drive side and make sure the XDR freehub body is correctly mounted in the hub housing.
Remounting the end cap and sealing
- Screw the end cap at the non-drive side of the hub by hand.
- Mount the two M12 Allen keys on both sides in the end caps and screw tightly, by turning both Allen keys away from each other with 5 Nm.

Dismounting the bearings
All our Forza wheels are equipped with industrial deep grove ball bearings, special developed for bicycles.
Pay attention! The bearings are press fitted into the hub housing. They can only be dismounted using a bearing puller!
- Apply the bearing puller in the bearing in the hub to dismount the bearing.
- Repeat this process for the bearing at the other side of the hub.
Cleaning the parts
- Clean all parts of the hub with paper towel.
- Position the parts in the sequence as they came out the hub to remember the sequence.
Remounting/replacing the bearings
- Grease the bearing seats at the inner surface of the hub shell.
- Put a new bearing, with the marked side to the outside, onto the bearing seat.
- Apply the press fit to press the bearing in place.
- Assemble the hub spacer on top of the mounted bearing
- Repeat previous steps for the other hub side.
- Grease the outside of both bearings.
Remounting the axle end caps
- Screw both end caps on both sides of the hub by hand.
- Mount the two M12 Allen keys on both sides in the end caps and screw tightly, by turning both Allen keys away from each other with 5 Nm.
ATTENTION
To reduce the friction during cycling you can remove the internal rubber sealing between the bearing and end cap. The end caps are sufficient to protect the bearings from normal weather conditions. When you use the wheels in wet conditions, we recommend you to not remove these sealings to increase the lifetime of the bearings.
